RF & IF Modules

Formtest designs many kinds of RF modules that can simulate transmission lines.
The RF module may be a rack mount drawer containing RF switches, programmable attenuators, couplers, mixers etc.
In order to maintain high reliability and flexibility of the RF module, the control of the various internal RF components is done by a CAN network.

RF Switching

The RF module may also be a PXI module.
The RF circuits can be fully designed by Formtest.
The design includes theoretical calculation, analysis and simulation.
Formtest has the capability to fully test the modules in frequencies of up to 18GHz.
The RF modules can be controlled by LAN, USB or any serial or parallel interface.
When the module is a PXI one, it is controlled directly by the PXI bus.
